'NPC'; Non-Player-Character. A character who is not played by a specific person, but simply inserted into the Roleplay for the sake of not having to find a person to play a random character. 5. No Metagaming
'Metagaming'; The act of using knowledge that your character should not be aware of to determine their actions.
6. No Mary Sues/Gary (or Marty) Stus
'Mary Sue'; A Mary Sue can generally be boiled down to someone who is too good to be true. Too many bonuses/abilities/special characteristics, most of which are designed to draw attention to the character, with no balancing factors.

'Fluffbunny'; Extremely silly, cute, and bubbly characters that have to be best friends with everyone and very light-hearted even if it's inappropriate for the plot.
'Angstbunny'; Characters whose sole purpose is to angst, whine, and generally be miserable.

'Side Roleplay'; A roleplay that takes place outside of the main storyline. Usually for the purpose of character development or creating a more rich background for the story.
12. 'The Chain of Command Law'
Obey your superiors. Unless disputed by another superior, it is in conflict of the laws, or for some other reason the would raise concern; a superior's word is law.
(Note: If a superior tells you to do something that breaks a law and is serious about it, report them to the admin.)
'Superior'; A person in a position of forum rank above a standard member such as a moderator or admin.
13. 'The Law of Relevancy'
Keep threads in their appropriate forums for the sake of organization. If you are unsure where it should go, please say so to avoid confusion. Also, stay within the boundaries of the roleplay's time period and intended location. No advanced firearms or other technology the wouldn't fit in a stereotypical game/manga/anime/etc. in a typical ancient japanese setting. Lastly, try to stay within the boundaries of where most people are playing. If a group of people is having lunch at noon, don't force the time change to night or something. If something happens that is rather time consuming and another group is in the middle of an activity, just JP (If playing with two or more people.) or FTB and twiddle your thumbs for a while.
'JP'; Joint-Post. A section of RP written in backchannels between two or more players, and completed before being publicly posted
'FTB'; Fade-To-Black. When a scene is ended even though the IC action is presumed to continue.
14. 'The Theft Law'
Using another PC's Furui-Akuma Katana will not grant the user the weapon's original user's tree of techniques or abilities. To a 'non-qualified user' it would simply be another katana.
15. 'The Jackass Law'
Acting excessively like a N00B or just a total jerk is considered a punishable offense. OOC or IC the law applies. Try to be considerate and courteous to others when playing. A character who is just mean is fine, but that doesn't mean you have to be a total jerk. This law also applies to action, meaning don't steal things from others without their OOC permission, don't harass them, etc.
'OOC'; Out-Of-Character, meaning speech outside of roleplay. Usually represented by use of symbols such as the asterisk or double parenthesis to denote OOC speech when in a roleplaying thread.
'IC'; In-Character, meaning that the player is currently playing as their character or PC.
16. 'The Uniform Law'
To keep things looking uniform and organized we have instigated this law. Please make your displayed username (Not necessarily your log in name.) your character's name, last name before first. Your profile will be assigned a title which will look something like 'Number X' (X is a place-holder for your character's number.). All character's first form Furui-Akuma Katana must all resemble just that, a katana. However, in later forms it is fine for them to resemble other weapons, as long as they do not extend into the realm of 'exotic weapons'. And lastly, all actual characters will wear a single uniform (Mostly to make using an image difficult and to encourage original characters.) (Small variations in a character's outfit are fine, but the uniform's color cannot change.). All member rank characters must be at least 25. All staff-rank characters must be at least 28.
17. 'The Gikou Law'
A character may have no more then six gikou. And each character gets only two gikou per form. Each gikou gets progressively stronger in the next form, however the gikou must be fairly laid out. Meaning stronger gikou can only be placed in later forms. And in addition a gikou cannot be ridiculously overpowered.
(#'s 69, 1-7, 8-11, and Squad 7 get special leeway for the second half of the Law.)
18. 'The NPC Law'
There are just some things you don't do. Among them are things like murdering an entire mob of people for no reason, or trying to kill an emperor. These things are decided by a person's morals. This law is around to punish those who do ridiculous things or that would mess up a roleplay. Examples of these would be killing the emperor, killing a mob of people for no reason, or fighting a very powerful enemy and slaying it despite the massive difference in strength. This law also says it is illegal to kill important NPCs without the permission of the admin or the head of a side roleplay.
19. 'The Backchanneling Law'
Please try to remember when backchanneling to inform other roleplayers involved that has conspired or is conspiring has been pre-plotted and all directly involved parties involved are cool with it. If someone requests to be including, try to be courteous, even if you are rejecting their request. Try to 'backchannel' in the open forum so more people are aware of your plans.
'Backchannel'; The practice of chatting and plotting in private e-mail or IM, instead of in a game's open forum.
20. 'The Image Law'
